Nico is looking for a

Cybersecurity Lead for Teleste

to work on the future of secure passenger information solutions. Your role will involve tasks related to ensuring software cybersecurity in customer-specific configurations and deliveries.

As a Cybersecurity Lead, your responsibilities will focus on the following areas: 

  • Cybersecurity strategy: Define and develop a cybersecurity plan to safeguard Teleste’s solutions from cyber threats.
  • Compliance: Define and develop compliance to agreed industry standards to meet regulations and customer expectations on security processes and solution security.
  • Develop processes and practices to ensure Teleste manages and develops according to standards. Lead the planning and management of cybersecurity measures necessary to deliver secure solutions and processes associated to it. 
  • Document needed processes, specifications required by customers and deliverables required to meet standards’ compliance requirements.
  • Support Teleste’s customer project team with documentation of necessary deliverables required to meet customer and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Assess and audit maturity to agreed compliancy to identify vulnerabilities and assess the effectiveness of existing security controls.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
  • Incident Management: Lead responses to security incidents, including investigation, containment, and recovery. Ensure recovery plans are available and up-to-date.
  • Manage relationships with external cybersecurity vendors, consultants, and partners and customers.
  • Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.


To succeed in this role, we expect you to have experience of

  • Strong background in cybersecurity area, ideally in SW R&D related environment
  • Experience working with standards and frameworks, especially on product security level  (e.g. TS 50701, IEC 63452 are a big plus)
  • Proven abilities to develop and implement cybersecurity processes and practices to organization
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks
  • Solid understanding of software development processes and architecture
  • Programming: Knowledge of programming and scripting languages is a plus
  • Quality-driven mindset
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English.


Reporting to Head of Software Development, you will be part of a team that is responsible for development of Teleste’s solutions with close collaboration to corporate functions. Preferred location for this role is Tampere, where Teleste has an extensive testing laboratory for the products. Also other locations can be considered with regular visits to Tampere office.
